Welcome to Pulborough Medical Group
TUESDAY 26TH JANUARY 2021 - COVID VACCINATION UPDATE
THE COVID-19 VACCINE IS A FREE VACCINATION PROVIDED BY THE NHS. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU ARE ASKED TO PAY FOR THE
VACCINE AS THIS IS NOT A LEGITIMATE VACCINATION SERVICE
We confirm that are still in the process of offering the Oxford AstraZenica Covid-19 vaccines this week to those patient aged 70 and over, and those who are in the extremely high risk categories. Appointments for the above patients are available on Friday 29th, Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st January. To book your appointment, please telephone the practice on 01798 872815 option 1.
The order in which people will be offered the vaccine is based on advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) and not for local practices to decide. Further information regarding the roll out of the vaccine schedule can be found on the government website:
Please do NOT contact the practice for a Covid vaccination if you are not in the above cohort of patients as we are not allowed to offer vaccines to anyone outside of the age and risk groups identified above and there is no waiting list.
We are also waiting on information from the JCVI and government about 2nd dose vaccines but as yet have no update on when these will be.
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way that we must work however our patients continue to need advice and may have problems which mean that they will have to be examined.
During this period;
All initial consultations will be made via telephone or a video alternative (i.e. Skype).
If you have a clinical need that needs medical attention our telephone lines remain open from 8am. Our medical reception team will ask some screening questions and if needed will add you to a call back list for a phone call from our clinical team. Due to high volumes of calls there is likely to be a wait and we are unable to give you accurate time for a call back, we ask for your co-operation and support during this time.
Please do not drop off urine samples unless you have been asked to by a clinician as many infections can be dealt with over the phone.
The care and safety of our patients and staff is paramount which is why we have put these precautions in place. With this in mind, all practice staff now wear face coverings in public areas and corridors. The clinical team all wear full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and we ask all patients to wear masks if they need to attend the practice.
Reception has been moved to the ground floor and on arrival, you will have your temperature taken and will be required to use the antibacterial hand gel. We would ask that any patient who has symptoms of a cough or fever, loss of taste or smell or have been in quarantine for 7 days because you have had any of these symptoms or 14 days because of a family member being unwell, please do not attend the practice but let us know.
Thank you for your support and understanding during this challenging period.

Partners in Care
Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.
Access & Parking
There are 2 designated disabled parking spaces at the rear of the new Primary Care Centre and in addition there are disabled parking spaces within the Tesco carpark on a 2 hour restricted stay.
Wheelchairs can access the ground floor via the front entrance and there is a lift to Pulborough Medical Group based on the first floor. There are disabled toilets available on the ground and first floors.
The Tesco car park is shared with Pulborough Primary Care Centre – parking is strictly limited to a maximum period of three hours. The car park is monitored by an electronic device.
