Online Consultation Tool – eConsult

Our online consultation tool, eConsult lets you beat the phone ques and quickly get the help you need at a time that suits you.

eConsult is a form-based online consultation & triage platform the collects your medical or administrative request and sends it through to your GP practice to triage and decide on the right care for you and everyone else.

eConsult is used in over 3200 UK GP practices – that’s around 29 million patients!

All on-line requests are viewed by our team within one working day from submission and you’ll be contacted by one of our team to follow up with a plan of action. This might include booking you in to see a doctor in person or by phone/video call or a direct referral to one of our specialist healthcare services in practice.

What eConsult does

NHS App

If you’re a patient at our practice you can use the NHS App, a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone, tablet or via the web. You can use the NHS App to get health advice, order repeat prescriptions, manage your hospital referrals, view your GP health record and more. For more information go to www.nhs.uk/nhsapp.

What the NHS App does

  • order repeat prescriptions – see your available medicines, request a new repeat prescription and choose a pharmacy for your prescriptions to be sent to.
  • book some types of appointment – book some types of appointments such as blood tests, cancel appointments, and see details of your upcoming and past appointments.
  • view parts of your GP record – including information about medication, allergies, vaccinations, previous illnesses and test results.
  • check your symptoms – search trusted NHS information and advice on hundreds of conditions and treatments, and get instant advice or medical help near you.
  • register your organ donation decision – choose to donate some or all of your organs and check your registered decision.
  • get advice about coronavirus – get information about coronavirus and find out what to do if you think you have it.
  • find out how the NHS uses your data – choose if data from your health records is shared for research and planning.
