for accuracy and you will receive a new request slip
every time you use the service. We have a number of
ways in which you may order a repeat prescription.

Pop it in the PMG letterbox when we are shut
Please leave three whole days for your prescriptions

The pharmacists work in Cordens Chemist and the dispensary
at the Primary Care Centre, offering expert advice on medication,
minor illnesses and well being.
Prescription charges
Some patients are automatically exempt from prescription
charges:

Children under 16

Young adults under 19 and in full time education

People over 60 years of age

Pregnant women

Women who have had a baby in the last 12 months

Patients receiving DSS

Patients with specific medical conditions
From April 2007 the costs for prescriptions is as follows:

Prescription charge - £6.85

Three month pre paid certificate - £26.85

Four month pre paid certificate - £35.85
-
One year pre paid certificate - £98.70
If you need regular repeat prescriptions this keeps the costs
down to a manageable amount during the year.
